The Competition is DESIGNPROOF’s battle format. Graphic designers, illustrators, web designers and street artists compete with one another over the same creative brief using the tricks of their trade.
Objective
Based on the creative brief immediately prior to the competition, each designer creates a single, static 2D digital design during the 60-minute tournament.
Structure
- Creative selection panel reviews and selects 3 designers to advance to the live tournament
- The designers work is judged at one time by judges
- Awards and accolades get presented
Judges
We are excited to announce at this years (2018) DesignProof our judges will be:

Pre-Made Assets
Competitors may bring the following pre-made assets of the following type:
- Digital photo – Stock photography with the proper license, photographs may not contain an image or object is or may be interpreted as a piece of artwork, such as a sketch, drawing, painting, sculpture, etc. Such photographs are prohibited.
- Fonts: 3 fonts allowed
- Photoshop brushes: 3 brushes allowed
- Assets must be in a desktop folder called DesignProof_name
- Each competitor will have one hour to set up all fonts and files
- Competitors may bring any graphic tablets and accessories needed.
- Any branding material will be provided.
- Equipment & Tools
A computer, mouse and keyboard will be provided.
Software used will be Adobe CC Design Suite
Additional Rules
- All 2D images must be static. No animation allowed.
- All designers are required to complete their design digitally within the Adobe CC Design Suite.
- Final design must be saved as a High Res JPEG/PDF.
